SUVs are one of the best-selling vehicles in the United States, and with good reason. They offer flexible space for passengers and cargo, provide a wide-open view of the road ahead, and more. However, this also means that to stand out in the SUV market, the vehicle in question needs to compete at a high level. Our team at Lupient Nissan thinks the 2025 Nissan Pathfinder for sale does just that by going above and beyond what you might expect.
We are proud to stand behind the Nissan brand and excited to show you the newest Pathfinder offers. This mid-size SUV is now in its fifth generation, and the latest model year might be the best one yet, as it provides you with a roomy and quiet interior, impressive towing capacity, the latest in safety and connectivity, and exterior details that provide it with rugged sophistication. If you’re unfamiliar with the Nissan Pathfinder, keep reading to see why we think it’s a great option for the everyday driver, then stop by our dealership or reach out online to schedule a test drive.
Breaking Down the Nissan Pathfinder
As mentioned, the Pathfinder is in its fifth generation, which debuted for the 2022 model year. That debut brought a brand-new exterior to this three-row SUV, going from what some might have considered boxy and boring to rugged and modern. Since then, the Rock Creek Edition has been added, and this year, all Pathfinders are eligible for the Nissan Maintenance Care program, which offers up to three oil changes in the first two years of ownership or before the vehicle reaches 24,000 miles. Today, the Pathfinder offers you a choice of five trims, each with its own benefits. You will also find that its 3.5L V6 engine is paired with a nine-speed automatic, rather than the previous CVT. More about the trims and features you’ll find in the latest Pathfinder can be found below.

Rock Creek Edition
The Rock Creek Edition is the ideal combination of on- and off-road capabilities. It is the perfect choice for drivers on the go who enjoy a bit of downtime on the trails, towing the family camper, and everything in between. It also offers the most horsepower of any other Pathfinder, at 295 hp. This horsepower, along with 270 lb-ft of torque and standard four-wheel drive, gives you the confidence you need for a variety of tasks. Additionally, you can opt for all-wheel drive, which offers seven different drive modes, including sand and mud/rut mode. This option to choose all-wheel drive is available for all trim levels.
It’s easy to pick the Rock Creek Edition out when standing beside the other trims, as it offers unique exterior badging and options like a black tubular roof rack, 18-inch black-painted beadlock-style aluminum alloy wheels, a lifted suspension for extra ground clearance, all-terrain tires, and a specialized front fascia. The interior also offers unique badging and seating made from water-repellent materials with orange contrast stitching. Last but not least, you can tow up to 6,000 lbs and navigate with ease thanks to the available Intelligent Around View Monitor with Off-Road Mode, which gives you an enhanced view of the area surrounding the vehicle.
A Look at the S, SV, and SL Trim Levels
The base S, SV, and SL trim levels sit between the Rock Creek Edition and the Platinum trim, and while these three have a lot in common, there are differences as well. First, each of the three comes with standard front-wheel drive, although you can opt for all-wheel drive to enjoy the benefits noted above. Key differences between these three include the optional panoramic moonroof you can add to the SV and SL trims, the standard heated front seats of the SV and SL—including a heated steering wheel for the SL—and the standard Intelligent Around View Monitor found in the SL. Additionally, the SL features a nine-inch NissanConnect display with Navigation and Services, while the S and SV’s display is eight inches without added navigation. However, all three can connect to compatible phones to give you access to things like your favorite podcast.
Regarding power, performance, and efficiency, all three are equipped with the 3.5L V6 that was mentioned above and provide you with a combined fuel economy of 23 MPG, with 27 MPG on the highway and 20 MPG in the city. Additionally, all three give you the ability to tow up to 6,000 lbs. Finally, it should be noted that all but the S trim offer easy unloading and loading of cargo, thanks to the standard power liftgate. That same liftgate is also standard for the Rock Creek Edition and the Platinum trim.
Other similarities include access to Nissan’s collection of safety features, Safety Shield 360. Within this system, you will find amenities such as the Forward and Rear Collision Systems, Front Pedestrian Detection, and Driver Attention Alert. It’s worth noting, however, that there are differences between the three in this area as well. For instance, while the S trim level provides you with a Lane Departure Warning system, the SV and SL have Intelligent Lane Intervention, which detects when you’re moving too far to one side of the lane and gently taps the brakes to help you get centered again. Additionally, while the SV and SL trims offer Intelligent Blind Spot Intervention—which also applies the brakes if it senses you moving toward an area with a vehicle in your blind spot—the S trim is equipped with a Blind Spot Warning.

The Top-Tier Platinum Trim Level
The Platinum trim level is the top-of-the-line Pathfinder for the 2025 model year. It comes standard with a panoramic moonroof, climate-controlled front seats, a heated steering wheel, and a nine-inch NissanConnect display with Navigation and Services, as well as Apple CarPlay integration and wireless charging. There’s also a 13-speaker Bose Premium Audio system and the standard Intelligent Around View Monitor. Additionally, the Platinum trim offers a larger 12.3-inch multi-function information display, rather than the seven-inch display found on the other S, SV, and SL trims. This display screen gives you real-time data regarding fuel economy, tire inflation, and more.
Regarding safety and technology features, you will find many of the same perks that the SV and SL offer. However, there are some features that only the SL and Platinum share, such as NissanConnect Navigation with Voice Activation, Traffic Sign Recognition with speed limiter, ProPILOT Assist with Navi-link, and front and rear parking sensors.
