2022 Nissan Armada

You can choose among four trims with the 2022 Nissan Armada: S, SV, SL, and Platinum. Its exterior still looks fresh from the 2021 facelift, and it now resembles the recently redesigned Pathfinder. The SUV comes standard with 18-inch alloy wheels, but 20- and 22-inch alloy wheels are available.

Every 2022 Armada has the same powerful engine under the hood. The 5.6-liter V-8 engine cranks out 400 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque. Its 400-horsepower rating is the highest for a base engine in its class. The engine is mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission, and rear-wheel drive is standard.

For fuel economy, the 2022 Armada achieves decent numbers. Standard rear-wheel-drive models get an EPA-estimated 14 mpg in the city and 19 mpg on the highway. The vehicle can handle some moderate off-roading with the assistance of a front skid plate and 9.2 inches of maximum ground clearance. Four-wheel-drive models also have a dedicated snow driving mode to help you get through huge drifts of snow. Also, when properly equipped, the SUV has a maximum towing capacity of 8,500 pounds.

The 2022 Armada seats eight people across three rows, with standard second- and third-row bench seats. Second-row captain's chairs are optional in the SL and Platinum trims. Its front seats have ample support and provide excellent views of the roadway, while the second-row seats are equally welcoming and comfortable. All travelers will enjoy ample headroom and legroom, although the third-row seats are a little tighter. Even though it doesn't boast as much cargo space compared to other vehicles in its class, the Armada still has enough room to cart around your gear. Behind the third-row seats, the vehicle has 16.5 cubic feet of space, while folding down the third row will give you 49.9 cubic feet of space. Once you fold down all the rear seats, you'll gain access to 95.4 cubic feet of space. To keep everyone connected, Nissan outfitted the 2022 Armada with a 12.3-inch touch-screen infotainment system that responds quickly to inputs. It also comes standard with satellite radio, a Wi-Fi hot spot, four USB ports, Bluetooth, Android Auto, and wireless Apple CarPlay connectivity. You can add even more features such as wireless device charging and a second-row entertainment system.

One of the best aspects about the 2022 Nissan Armada is that it comes with more than a dozen standard safety features. A few of these noteworthy features include automatic high-beam headlights, forward and reverse automatic emergency braking, a rear-seat reminder, and driver attention monitoring. To help you when pulling a trailer, the SUV comes standard with a tow hitch receiver, while trailer sway control and a trailer brake controller are optional.
